Beginner Training Programs

Programs are 6 weeks long, 1 hour per week.

Family members are encouraged and welcome to attend this program. 

The focus of beginner training is to learn everyday basic life skill exercises such as sit, stay, down, come when called, and proper leash handling methods while incorporating varying degrees distractions. This means that the dog must learn to pay attention to you under many situations.  We use food, praise and play along with scientific learning principles to teach your dog how to achieve these goals.  Teaching your dog to respond to various hand and voice signals will make life easier for you, your guests, the veterinarian and others. 

Refund Policy:  One week notice (7 days) prior to start of class is required for cancellations or refunds - no exceptions.  Because our classes  fill weeks in advance last minute cancellations and transfers can wreak havoc with the balance of the class registrations. Please check your calendar carefully and plan to attend the class you sign up for.

Make-Up Classes:  One "make-up" class is offered for Beginner Programs Only.  Should you have to miss a class we do suggest that for best results the "make-up" class should be taken within the 6 week time period of the session that you are enrolled in.  If for some reason this is not possible then the "make-up" class must be completed within 4 weeks after the program has finished.We invite you to watch a class to help you decide.
